Richard Delp, P.E.
Principal / Project Executive / Senior Engineer
Mr. Delp has been with the firm since 1994 and has been President of Schiller and Hersh since 2005; Mr. Delp has managed projects that have included mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, lighting, power, communications, structured cabling, sound, security, CCTV and card access systems, fire detection and protection systems, emergency power distribution, motor control centers and replacements of substations and switchgear. His in-depth understanding of these systems gives him the expertise to oversee the design of a broad range of mechanical and electrical projects. As Principal he remains hands-on and active in all projects giving all our work a high degree of quality control.
Mr. Delp graduated Summa Cum Laude and was a First Honors graduate of Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He is a licensed professional engineer in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland.
Mr. Delp has active membership in the National Society of Professional Engineers, American Council of Engineering Companies, National Fire Protection Association, Illuminating Engineering Society, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, where he serves in the Philadelphia Chapter as an officer of the PES/IAS Chapter.
Personally, Mr. Delp has an interest in helping to provide Education for under-privileged children in inner city Philadelphia via The City School.
In his spare time, Mr. Delp enjoys an active role in a local church in Lansdale, PA, spending time with his wife & 2 daughters, hunting in the great woods of PA and occasionally golfing.
Jonathan Bergey, P.E.
Senior Electrical Engineer
Mr. Bergey has designed and managed projects that have included building and site lighting, power distribution, fire detection systems, emergency power distribution, medium voltage substations, switchgear, CCTV systems, data & telephone structured cabling systems, security systems, card access systems, PA systems, A/V systems and master clock systems.
Mr. Bergey graduated Magna Cum Laude from Messiah College, Grantham, PA with dual concentration in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. His background as an electrician gives him a very practical viewpoint as he designs.
Mr. Bergey has been at Schiller and Hersh since 2006. He is an active member of the IEEE Power & Energy Society, Philadelphia Chapter. Mr. Bergey has a Professional Engineering License in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Jared Johnson, P.E.
Senior Mechanical Engineer
Mr. Johnson has been a part of the S&H team since 2007. He has designed projects with all types of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems. His understanding of these systems gives him the expertise to effectively design for a variety of conditions.
Mr. Johnson is a 1995 graduate of Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has a Professional Engineering license in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
He is an active member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and is currently serving as the President of the Board of Directors, Philadelphia Chapter.
Jonathan Alderfer, P.E.
Mechanical Engineer
Mr. Alderfer has been with Schiller and Hersh since 2002. His project designs include a variety of HVAC systems, and he has special expertise in LEED certified building design and energy modeling services.
Mr. Alderfer is a graduate of Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA and has an Associates degree in Architectural Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is licensed in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Mr. Alderfer is an active member of the American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, as well as photography and volleyball.
Alicia Hendricks, P.E.
Mechanical Engineer
Ms. Hendricks is a 1999 Drexel graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. She has been with Schiller and Hersh for the majority of her career years since then. She is licensed in the Pennsylvania.
Ms. Hendricks has designed projects with a variety of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems. Her understanding of these systems gives her the expertise to effectively design for a variety of conditions.
In her spare time she enjoys baking and spending time with her girls.
Travis Westover, E.I.T.
Mechanical Designer
Mr. Westover is a graduate of Temple University, Philadelphia, PA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He holds an Engineer-in-Training license in PA. He has experience in designing fire protection and a variety of HVAC systems.
Mr. Westover is an active member of the American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
He was part of a group of Temple students that received 1st place in the 2012 ASHRAE Design Competition under the category of HVAC Design Calculations.
James Creighton, E.I.T.
Plumbing Designer
Mr. Creighton has designed plumbing systems for a wide variety of clients. He has been with Schiller and Hersh since 2002.
Mr. Creighton is a graduate of Temple University and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
He enjoys a Sunday drive in his Hybrid to see how much gas he can save.
Diana Madden, E.I.T.
Senior Electrical Designer
Mrs. Madden has been with Schiller and Hersh full time since her graduation from Drexel University in 2004. She was also employed part time during her 4 year tenure at Drexel. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. She holds an Engineer-in-Training license in PA.
Mrs. Madden has been designing projects that have included lighting, power, fire detection systems, emergency power distribution, motor control centers and replacements of substations and switchgear. She has an understanding of these systems that gives her the expertise to efficiently design for a broad range of systems.
She is also an active member of the Philadelphia Section of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) where she has held various roles such as President, VP of Communications, Webmaster and Historian. In 2009, she won the Outstanding Counselor Award for her dedicated service with the Drexel University SWE Section. Mrs. Madden is also currently a member of the Board of Directors for the ACPPA Community Arts Center in Norristown, PA.
